Middle School (6th-8th)

If your child is in 6th-8th grade you MUST check out our Middle School Ministry here at Community Church. Great things are happening. The leaders you meet with on a weekly basis are truly involved and engaged in the lives of students. Why? Because we believe in living and walking life together; living in Community together just as Christ instructed us to. We know that the only way student’s lives will be changed is through the spirit of God working in them. We just create a space for this to happen. We want to be a part of your child’s life and want your child to be part of ours. Come check us out, I think you’ll be excited with what you experience. God is working and moving here at Community.

Sunday Mornings
On Sunday mornings, our Middle School students meet together for small group Bible study at 10:00am with optional opening assembly starting before class-time at 9:45am.  We are working a new year-long series published by Student Life: called Linked.  A copy of the Student Life Devotional is available for $5 at the Youth booth or youth floor.  These devotionals coincide with our Sunday morning teachings and are used in Middle School Re:fuel on Wednesday nights.

Students meet for worship and announcements on the youth floor and then break into age-graded classes.
6^th Grade guys are taught by Greg Cason
6^th Grade girls are taught by Laura Cason

7th and 8^th grade guys are taught by Chris Jaggers and Dave Rogers
7^th and 8^th grade girls are taught by Lauren Rogers

Middle school students are encouraged to attend one of our church-wide worship services with their families at 8:30 am or 11 am  in the main sanctuary.

Wednesday Nights
On Wednesday’s we meet at 6:30 pm for a really fun time of worship, teaching and fellowship.  Each middle school student is placed on a team that is led by an adult for a round of friendly competition.  Please join us for an exciting night as we discover God’s love and grace on a deeper level, together.

Encounter:
Students meet once a month for a time to get together in a very relaxed setting. We meet at a Family’s home to eat a meal together, play fun games and have a time of worship. This is the 3^rd Sunday of each month, locations will vary and be posted.

Student Life Camp:
Each summer, our entire ministry grades 6-12 loads up on our charter bus and heads to Student Life Camp.  Student Life Camp is an exciting week of high energy worship, powerful preaching, recreation, small group Bible study, and loads of just plain fun. Past locations have included Covenant College in Chattanooga, Shocco Springs Conference Center in Birmingham, Alabama, Lee University in Cleveland, TN, and Wake Forest University in North Carolina.
